Prayer for Food

Kia whakapaia koe, e te Ariki, e te Atua. Nāu nei ngā kai katoa i whakahua mai i te whenua, hei kai mā te tinana. Nāu anō hoki te taro o te ora i whakahua mai i te rangi, hei kai mā te wairua. Haramai te rangatiratanga. Hei au koe noho ai, āke, āke. Āmine.

Blessed art thou, the Lord God, who bringeth forth all food from the earth to strengthen the body and the gospel from heaven to sustain the spirit. Thy kingdom come. Abide in me forever. Amen.



Note: Hei au koe noho ai = abide in me (singular). Hei mātou koe noho ai = abide in us (plural).
