The entire mission of Te Rongopai a Ihu Karaiti is based on the Shema Yisrael, first declared by the prophet Moshe, Moses as recorded in Deuteronomy 6:4-5 and reiterated by Jesus in Mathew 22:37-40.

Original Shema.
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might" Deuteronomy 6:4-5.
Jesus expands on the Shema.
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. The second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets". Matthew 22:37-40
Statements of Belief
- We believe in the Bible, particularly the New Testament to be the only authoritative record containing the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and no other book. 2 Timothy 3:16
- We believe in the unadulterated teachings of the gospel exactly as Jesus and the Apostles taught and lived them and not the teachings of men. Galatians 1:6-8
- We believe in being prepared at all times with an answer (without misrepresentation or misinterpretation) for all those who should inquire of our belief in the gospel. 1 Peter 3:15
